WHAT'S NEW FROM THE R3VOLUTION FRONT

JORDAN PAGE MUSIC NEWS
WELCOME TO JORDAN PAGE MUSIC

1/17/2011

RELEASE DATE FOR "LIBERTY" JUST ANNOUNCED!!!

Jordan Page's highly anticipated new album LIBERTY will be available as an official release from REVELUSHUN RECORDS on 2/1/2011. Liberty will be available wherever digital music is sold online, most notably through CDBABY, iTunes, Amazon mp3, Rhapsody, Napster, etc. Hard copies of the album with high quality Digipacks will be available through CD Baby and at live shows. Revelushun Records will be holding cd release shows at various locations across America to promote this amazing body of work. LIBERTY celebrates 15 songs that challenge not only the corruption that is rampant in our system of government, but which also challenge the listener to search deeper for answers to the hard questions just below the surface of what Jordan considers "the official story." Most people know Jordan Page's music from his previous independent release "Revolution EP" which featured the songs "Pendulum," "Listen," and "Song for Bob Dylan." This new album has a much harder edge and is full on rock album full of surprises and guest appearances. Jordan reprises his folk-rock style of political commentary in songs like "Message of Freedom," and "Liberty" while pulling the guillotine rope with hard rock songs like "Dragons," "Frontlines," and "War Machine" which are reminiscent of Muse, Pearl Jam and Alice in Chains Three acoustic arrangements, "Listen," "Reckoning," and "Here There and Everywhere," which are fan-favorites from the Revolution EP have been revisited with full band. From the first song to the last song, this album is an education and it rocks. Take the trip. Buy the record.

"Pendulum" Lyrics:

I been walking a tightrope between fact and fiction
I been wrestling with demons in small bottled prisons
I been talking with sinners who claim to be Christian
I been shouting at leaders who claim to be listening

& the pendulum swings from the left to the right
and momentum increases the need for the fight
Like a moment of blindness in a lifetime of sight
& I am caught somewhere in the middle

I saw a president blind to the needs of his people
I saw a camel that passed through the eye of a needle
I saw a group of old men whose money was evil
I saw a cross breaking free from the cage of a steeple
I saw beggars and cripples dying in squalor
I saw a son whose sins had exceeded his father
I saw a nation of sleepers whose dreams were forgotten
& a bushel of apples from a tree that was rotten

& the pendulum swings from the left to the right
as momentum increases the need for the fight
Like a blindfold when its time to walk towards the light
& I am lost somewhere in the middle

I heard the echo of suffering in the valley of laughter
I heard the rumble of earthquakes far under the water
I heard a court jester whose forked tongue was twisted
Who told us of dangers that never existed
I heard voices that claimed to be moral and righteous
Whose lies and deceit were all dark and contagious
I heard talk of a country that valued its freedom
But when I protested I was arrested and beaten

& the pendulum swings from the left to the right
As momentum increases the weight and the height
But if nobody's listening, is anyone right?
& I can't seem to find the key to the riddle

I met a young woman with a baby inside her
I looked but there wasn't a safe place to hide her
I met an old man with a face like a mirror
He showed me his sadness so I could see clearer

I met an arrogant leader who robs us and cheats us
He pretends that his orders come directly from Jesus
When he sends out our children to strange foreign soil
To kill for the right to monopolize oil

I'm a raising my voice 'against the house of derision
That murders our freedom with short-sighted vision
I'll sing a new song about civilization
& the palace of wisdom and the death of a nation

I'll lift up the veil that's hiding the holy
& remind all the people that change happens slowly
I'll scream out a name to the echoes of Heaven
& pray that the world don't end up where its heading

& the pendulum swings from the left to the right
as momentum decreases the end is in sight
There's a lunatic handling our future tonight
& I am lost somewhere in the middle

LYRICS

Why do we sit down when all should be standing
And why do we back down at the critical moment
Like running away from the waves of the ocean
We head for the hills with the high tide approaching
As sand slips away from the castle

When it's time to stand upright why do we falter
Like placing our freedom on the sacrificial altar
We hold tight to our fears and defend our oppressors
As we fight for their lies and become the transgressors
As pacifists transform to violent aggressors

But I'm only a stranger here
I'm a long long way from my home
And they say I can't change
All the things I find strange
For what can one man do alone
What can one man do alone

When is the right time to stand up for freedom
Could it be when you start to feel creating children
Who'll inherit the pain and the debt of this nation
And be slaves to the banks that cause hyper-inflation
Who are masters of commerce, lies, and bad legislation

If you looked in the eyes of a thousand young children
Through fences of razors, their innocence stolen
As the red flag of tyranny flies in the open
Is that when you'll finally notice

But I'm only a stranger here
I'm a long long way from my home
And they say I can't change
All the things I find strange
For what can one man do alone
Yes what can one man do alone

I'm only a stranger looking to find better nature in my fellow man
But they keep telling me it's a sin to be free
And that's more than I'm willing to stand

Where will you be when the order is given
To censor your mind as free speech is forbidden
As martyrs for peace from the world will be driven
Away by the sound of a bellowing thunder
And choke on the blood of a dream going under

As arrogant men tear up our Constitution
And from every direction we cry R3VOLution!
Standing together and without permission
Soldiers for truth in the war of attrition
The love of our country as our ammunition

But I'm only a stranger here
I'm a long long way from my home
And I'm going to change
All the things I find strange
For I am not one man alone
Yes I'm only a stranger
I'm a long long way from my home
And I'm going to change
All the things I find strange
For I know that I'm not alone
Yes I know that I'm not alone, not alone

Listen" Lyrics:

Listen to the sound that you hear
Like an echo in your head
There's a strange vibration rising
Out from the heart of America, America

Listen to the sound of the drum
Calling players to the game
Of the New World Order
Don't be caught unaware
When the heads start rolling

No, it couldn't happen here
I know it wouldn't happen here

I will not submit to authority of man
I'm alive I'm awake
This is more than I can take
If you had an open door
Would you kill a little more?

Listen to the cries of the dead
In the wake of the Sudan
Is there no one out there?
I see blood in the sands of despair in Africa

Listen to the sound of applause
In a chamber full of men
Selling out their people
As they plan their assault on the heart of America

No, it couldn't happen here
I know it wouldn't happen here

I will not submit to authority of man
I'm alive I'm awake
This is more than I can take
If you have an open door
Will you kill a little more?

There's a war machine in motion and the bullets fall as rain
& The light in the eyes of the innocent has faded into pain
Yesterday I knew the world was spinning toward the end
Today I see the wasteland and its too late to pretend

"Listen to the words that you hear"
Said the Ghost of Vietnam
Through a veil of napalm
"Don't forget your mistakes and where you came from"

I will not submit to authority of man
I'm ready to die but not for a lie
See the signs appear
You know its gonna happen here

A little take on Pink Floyd's "The Wall" (Performed for Adam Kokesh)

UPDATE: I found the lyrics to War Machine:

Ashes to ashes, we’re falling down
Slaves to the men that stole the crown
There’s a warning sign like a blazing sun
But you don’t want to see it because you’re having fun
Those who control all the information celebrate, and lie to the people to keep them watching

& the walls come crashing down, as the war at home reaches your town
You have no choice, it’s safe and clean, we all submit to the war machine

Consequence be damned,
Send the call for a brawl in a foreign land
While they slide their advantage through the door,
Getting rich off the blood of the fighting poor
But that’s your democracy! One big hypocrisy,
You want me to give my life for country?

Sacrifice yourself today, & don’t think about getting in their way
Camouflaged in black and green, one more gear in the war machine

Consequences so severe, so pull your trigger quickly dear
Our patriots are acting up, lets punish them with fear

& the walls come crashing down, as parades in spades march on your town
They count the votes, they bought the dream, paid in full by the war machine

& so you see the plan, an endless war, a profit scam
while their systems write the news you read, propaganda plant that seed
In the mindless love of a generation captivated, trained, entertained and held in bondage

& the walls come crashing in, like a plague they will blame it on our sins
The choice is posed by men unseen, give yourself to the war machine
